Build robots. Make friends.

Compete with the world.

Our Goals for Every MEMBER

Build skills

From coding to collaboration, engineering to imagineering, we teach STEM and life skills through hands-on experience.

Instill confidence

We love helping kids develop their passion, realize their potential, and meet goals they set for themselves.

Achieve excellence

We challenge students to rethink what is possible, embrace failure as key to success, and seek greatness in their pursuits.

Have fun

We keep kids engaged and excited. Robotics has been called “stealthy STEM.” Kids have too much fun to realize it's educational.

Congrats to our Spring League Champion

COVID-19 may have closed our facility this spring, but members were still able to compete in our Spring League thanks to online classes. Students were asked to build a program to navigate a 8′ x 4′ maze using nothing more than the robot and field specs, math, and programming. Congratulations to 8-year-old Ethan Skeens, who built the winning program, completing the maze in just 17 seconds. And congrats to all of our members who worked hard on their programs over the last several weeks. Check out a video of Ethan’s winning run.

Due to the stay-at-home order, RoboKai has temporarily closed its facility and is now offering online programming classes. If necessary, we will run a virtual Spring League Tournament that allows students to build programs and run them on both virtual and physical robots by sending them to coaches via email. If classes reopen before June, we will conduct our Spring League Tournament in person as originally planned.

RoboKai will be hosting week-long summer camps at its Midlothian club this summer. Students will build and program robots in teams, and then compete in a tournament at the end of camp. Half-day and full-day options are available. Click the button below to find dates, rates, and the registration form.
